Lead Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings (more frequently if necessary) with the Social Media team 
    • Collaborate with team to determine dates and times that work (ex: every Monday at 6 PM)
    • Schedule to meet with C.E.O prior to team meeting for any updates/questions 
    • Prepare agenda for the meeting and send to C.E.O one day prior to meeting for approval 
    • Upload brief meeting notes to google drive within 24 hours after the meeting 
  • Create a google calendar for the social media team
    • Create google invites for all meetings and deadlines for the team
  • Attend interviews for social media candidates, train any new members of the team and assist with orientation for the Spring term 
  • Create and monitor tasks and deadlines
  • Ensure there is no gap in content and content is culturally relevant and aligned to the company’s mission 
  • Be available to assist and answer any questions 
  • Complete performance reviews for the social media team 
  • Collaborate with other departments when necessary 
  • Perform other similar and related duties as assigned
  • Bring creative ideas and energy to the position

Intern

  • Looking for smart, creative and communicative candidates
  • Current High school juniors, seniors or college students who are in the field of public relations, communications, marketing, or journalism. (preferably)
  • Must have enough time to perform the job and respect deadlines
  • Ability to edit and proofread
  • Have a social media presence or have experience with managing multiple social media accounts
  • Be proactive and come with fresh ideas
  • Positive attitude and energy
  • Highly organized
  • Good with taking direction and feedback

Duties

  • Create a strategic social media calendar of promotional content, and relevant updates
  • Write unique social media content for Moving Mountains online presence including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and the website
  • Monitor social media sites and respond to inquiries and engage with patrons
  • Interact with the audience and provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to questions and concerns posted as messages, posts and comments on social media outlets
  • Craft basic image designs as needed using Canva or Postermywall
  • Work with owner to create social media specific designs as needed for contests, special days, activities and more
  • Create mini videos for social media
  • Coordinate and execute an influencer/blogger relations program
  • Upload content and manage the backend of the website
